SERVICES

DeWilco offers a wide variety of IT services, as seen below:

Cyber Security

Cybersecurity

DeWilco personnel has been working in DoD facilities for several years.  We have worked directly with DISA, adhering to STIG's constantly evolving IT requirements.

In addition, DeWilco personnel have a wide range of experience, ranging from datacenter architects to AWS Solutions Architects, to running cybersecurity workshops for large organizations.

Cybersecurity is always aforethought in all DeWilco projects and products.

Satellite Images

DeWilco has created a product to monitor bodies of water to detect certain bio-organisms, utilizing Sentinel-2, Landsat 7, and Landsat 8 to help out. Every several days, these satellites fly over areas of interest and generate publicly available GeoTiff images to pull from.

We have created a product, Zoom Sat, to automatically capture and process these images. Once they have been downloaded, Zoom Sat processes and enhances the images, allowing users to easily identify anomalies.  In addition, our software allows users to set up aesthetics on these images so they can be presented with contextual data such as names, pointers, and lat/long coordinates, as well as outlines of areas of interest.

Recently, we have found this product to be useful in identifying the location of (and damage from) the forest fires on the west coast.

HydroDCS

DeWilco has been working closely with its partner, OLAV & Co., Inc., to develop the HydroDCS - An ultra hardened device for ingesting hydrologic data and allowing users to create and customize reports for viewing that data.

With our IT expertise, as well as our contextual knowledge of the water management world, we were able to build an appliance that serves the needs of dam operators across the country.  HydroDCS's are currently in use at several dams.  The HydroDCS makes use of many technologies, some of them are included below:

  • Lightweight web interface

  • Iridium Data ingestion

  • GOES data ingestion

  • Easy to use dashboards

  • Automatic updates and maintenance

Field Equipment Installation

DeWilco personnel have installed Iridium Satlink 3 data loggers, as well as GOES Omni Antennas at remote sites in the Portland, OR area.

We did the installation from start to finish, arriving weeks early to determine the necessary equipment that will be needed, then coming back to perform the work.  This always includes some form of creativity, as problems always arrive.

Tree branches can be in the way, power is needed in shaded areas, satellite signal strength is low, etc.  The sites we worked on are currently functioning with both GOES and IRIDIUM and have been since June 2019.
